To kick National Bomb Pop Day off in style, Bomb Pop and GALE teamed up with TV superstar Gavin Casalegno to debut “The Summer of Bomb Pop” collection - a virtual pop-up shop featuring limited-edition, Bomb Pop inspired summer essentials, designed with artist Andrey Azizov and Gavin himself. This featured a custom Snapchat AR lens that allows users to virtually try on and interact with items from the collection, creating an immersive and unique shopping experience.
To enter, they simply used the new Bomb Pop Snapchat Lens to scan a Bomb Pop ice pop and were automatically brought to the virtual pop-up to claim their limited-edition summer swag item. Snapchatters also used the Bomp Pop Lens to virtually try-on and interact with items from the collection, including a T-shirt, beach towel, cooler, beach ball, and disposable camera.
“The Bomb Pop x Gavin Casalegno collab celebrates the iconic Red, White and Blue Bomb Pop with an iconic summer moment — the 4th of July,” says GALE Creative Director Lindsey Brand. “We wanted the collaboration with Gavin to be a true partnership. We worked with him and artist Andrey Azizov to develop five summer items that were true to Gavin’s interests — like volleyball and photography.”
The activation, led end-to-end by GALE, launched in New York where fans were able to try out the Bomb Pop Snapchat Lens along with free Bomb Pops, merch and a chance to meet Gavin Casalegno in person.
