About Gale

As a Senior Programmatic Manager, you will be an integral part of GALE’s fun, smart and innovative Programmatic team working on programmatic campaign management, optimizations, troubleshooting and managing client relationships. This role requires extensive knowledge of the programmatic landscape, key players within it and proficiency across DSP and buying platforms.

Candidates must have prior hands-on-keyboard experience across DSPs as well as familiarity with other ad technology including but not limited to SSPs and Ad Servers. They must possess excellent active listening skills to understand client needs. Must have the ability to translate those needs into trading objectives and ideas that can be translated to trading strategies in trading platforms as well as dive deep into large data sets to inform optimization approach, client reporting and insights delivery. This position reports into VP, Programmatic.



What You Will Do

  • Develop, evangelize and activate programmatic campaigns in various DSPs including but not limited to: Google’s DV360, The Trade Desk, Oath Ad Platform and AppNexus DSPs
  • Set up campaigns accurately in different DSPs using ASM established best practices to ensure ad tags and creative are loaded correctly into the systems, audience logic and brand safety preferences are maintained throughout the life of the buy
  • Optimize frequently to hit client KPIs and maintain client settings and levers as it relates to brand safety, bid strategy and other preferences
  • Develop relationships with all DSP partners to ensure application of best practices, optimization guidance and to be consistent with the latest feature sets in platform
  • Deliver insight into the implications of campaign constraints, such as scale, ramp up time, creative used and cost per conversion
  • Contribute to clients' business growth by identifying new opportunities and sharing relevant programmatic opportunities with planning and account teams
  • Prepare reports at regularly scheduled intervals (daily/weekly/monthly) for internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis and view into performance and what’s contributing to performance across all assigned programmatic accounts and initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of media technology buying platforms and analytics tools
  • Assist in the evaluation of new tools, opportunities or enhancements for integration efforts to improve client media
  • and business objectives
  • Work independently with guidance from management regarding overall goals and objectives
  • May be responsible for other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in a programmatic buying role, managing client campaigns with proven track record of success
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of economics, computer science, mathematics or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Must have fluency with media buying-related technologies, including DSPs, DMP, 3rd party ad servers and SSPs
  • Hands-on execution and in-the-field management of client campaigns
  • High-level understanding of campaign, ad server, impression, and user data that can help capitalize on key drivers of performance and identify opportunities for account growth
  • Advanced knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, key players and industry best practices
  • Must be able to communicate clearly via written and verbal communication including with key stakeholders externally
  • Strategic, proactive, and creative thinker
