In addition to participating in the Screening Time Off program, GALE kicked off a four month challenge to encourage employees to prioritize their health.

At GALE, our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why, when we signed the Working with Cancer Pledge in 2023, we formalized our commitment to supporting employees impacted by cancer, whether as patients or caregivers. This March, we’ve strengthened that commitment by joining the Screening Time Off initiative, encouraging employees to take the time they need for regular cancer screenings. GALE has long prioritized employee well-being through benefits such as unlimited sick time, and the addition of the Screening Time Off initiative further reinforces our dedication to providing the time and flexibility needed to support their health.

Cancer screenings can be lifesaving, with the 5-year survival rate for many cancers exceeding 90% when detected early. However, busy schedules, work commitments, and lack of awareness often lead people to postpone them. Through Screening Time Off, GALE is encouraging Gs to put their health at the top of their to-do list, taking the time needed for regular cancer screenings without worry. By doing so, we aim to foster a workplace culture where health is a priority and where preventive care is normalized.

In addition to participating in the program, developed by Working With Cancer, GALE has introduced its own cancer screening four-month challenge. This challenge was designed to motivate employees to schedule their screenings in the near term, while helping to instill long-term habits that can make a real difference in health and well-being.

Despite the importance of early detection, 50% of people don’t follow the recommended screening guidelines. GALE is committed to changing that for our Gs by making screenings even more accessible and encouraging proactive health habits.
