Here at GALE, we have a melting pot of really interesting people. To get to know them better, we’ve started a Team Spotlight series where we ask not just about their work, but about their personal stories as well. For this spotlight, we sat down with Erin Minty, a Senior Account Executive.

Fluid, Collaborative, Challenging
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about travel – I try to take one big trip a year (currently planning France & Croatia for next summer). I like to avoid the tourist spots and make sure to find local gems for restaurants and bars. That way, I get a better sense of what the culture is like for people that live there.
I’d also say I’m very passionate about the Buffalo Bills (my middle name, Kelly, is after Jim Kelly, the Bills quarterback when I was born).
What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
My dad has a Mark Twain quote he likes: “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is the difference between a lightning bug and lightning.” Twain meant it in the context of writing, but we always used it in my family to refer to clear communication. Sometimes it matters more how you say something than what you say.
What is one podcast you would recommend?
How I Built This with Guy Raz (by NPR). It’s a great look into how entrepreneurs started the brands we know and love today, and it always inspires me to chase my passions.
What project/assignment are you most proud of since joining GALE?
The creation of our new Prospecting Communication Stream and Loyalty Program for BMW USA. This project had a lot of firsts for me – my first time as an account lead on a strategic project, my first time working in CRM and in Automotive, and my first time acting as a client partner.
What is your personal mantra?
If you think you will succeed, you might. If you think you will fail, you will.
How have you grown since joining GALE?
I’ve grown a lot since joining GALE. I came here as a copywriter, unclear as to where I was heading in my career. I didn’t have a passion for copy, and it was starting to wear me down. GALE gave me the opportunity to try out so many different things. I ultimately found my passion in an account management role – I was more dedicated, and could really see myself adding value to my team. Since that decision, I’ve worked on multiple accounts in different fields, ranging from CRM to media to consulting. I am constantly learning – about my work and myself – and I am excited to see where that leads me!
If you had a side hustle what would it be?
Back to my roots, I do copywriting/editing! Even though I did not want copywriting to be my career, I still find relaxation in writing. Sometimes I contribute to blogs for brands, or help polish resumes for friends.
